I’ve asked myself that question a lot while putting together this year’s favorite albums list. The clearest answer, I think, is appreciation. Artists and their respective producers, record labels, studio mangers, etc., spend hundreds upon hundreds of hours meticulously crafting musical narratives to share with the world.
